We're a volunteer group dedicated to swiftly transporting essential medical items like blood and plasma, mother's milk, and small surgical tools between hospitals and medical facilities, out of normal business hours.
Our goal is to ensure that these critical resources reach their destinations swiftly and safely, especially during out-of-hours periods when conventional transportation options may be limited or not available.
Access to critical medical supplies and equipment can be a matter of life and death, especially outside regular hours. Hospitals and healthcare facilities often struggle to get urgent deliveries when traditional options are unavailable. Bloodbikes NZ fills this gap by providing a reliable volunteer service to ensure that blood, medical samples, and other essential resources reach their destinations swiftly and safely.
Our goal is to support the healthcare system and the well-being of our communities by ensuring that no one is left waiting for the help they need.
At this stage, we're gauging interest from motorcycle riders, and potential clients. As we expand, we'll be also looking for co-ordinators, event planners, and people to help with fundraising.
Volunteer role
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic and reliable motorcyclist volunteers who are passionate about making a difference. If you have a love for riding and a commitment to community service, we would love to hear from you.
Interested?Are you a medical or clinical facillty that could benefit from our services?
We may be able to help your service. We'll transport smaller items - less than 20kg that will fit into one of our bike storage cases - and needs to be something considered "medical".
